![]() Youre correct about the laggy/teleporty/desync fights, but be reasonable. Ill bet you that when EFT gets its open-world mode, you wont run in to people all the time. The difference is, SCUM is open-world, so theres naturally less fights/square km than in EFT. Correct me if Im wrong, but you most definitely: kill, loot, die, kill, loot die, do some fetch-quests, kill, loot, die. Oh and theres auto aim in scum, who tf puts auto aim in a pc game?!?!?!?!Ĭould you tell me how you play EFT? What do you exactly do in EFT when you go on a raid? Like break it down to me, small little pieces. Only ever seen two people and both times we had a laggy/teleporty/desyncy 5 minute long melee fight. Yup theres nothing todo in scum other than loot, kill and die, already bored of it as well after 7 hours playtime. Scum is open-world and much more of a survival game than EFT ATM. That makes the game favor squad play pretty heavily and especially makes it pretty forgiving with the permadeath aspect. Also, for now, you can spawn on your friend when you die, if you have enough "Fame points". SCUM has permadeath but it takes way less time to acquire a "full gear set" in SCUM so its definitely not as unforgiving as EFT. Theres no big cities yet, but theyve been mentioned on the roadmap.įirstly, to compare the game with EFT: EFT is much more tactical, an FPS only, instance based for now, so very very different. Also the setting is one of the best Ive played after DayZ and EFT, its immersive and beautiful, pretty realistic too. This makes the game have such a deep take on survival, that its really different from the competition. No survival game has ever had such a detailed metabolism system for instance, you can, IF YOU WANT TO, micromanage all the vitamins and minerals you eat. The lore, events and very detailed character creation are next. The inertia, metabolism, wetness simulations, for starters, set it apart from the competition. I know its not just me, thinking like this, but I guess people who havent played it will try these comparisons. Ive played all the games people try to compare SCUM to and Ive gotta say, it doesnt really compare to anything Ive played. Nice different approach to survival games, than EFT, or DayZ, or anything people try to compare it to. Ive played SCUM for about 20hrs now and Im loving it. Its nice to have somewhere else to survive when Tarkov gets too rough. The atmosphere feels great and the huge mechs/zombies combo is a different approach.Ģ0$ (£15.50) well spent, if i get 20 hours out of it, its paid for its self (1hour for 1 dollar i usually base a game off of) and i played a few last night and plan on a few more until the 0.10 patch drops. The graphics are decent (They are no where near as good as Tarkov), the gun models are lackluster in every way, and the sounds are a bit shite. Was just mentioning its a mere 20$ for an EA that looks alright, after having a few hours with it last night i can agree there's a lot of stability issues, and a fair amount of optimisation to be done (and i have a decent rig)īUT its network seems very efficiently coded, I saw zero lag, no rubber banding or teleporting (as a lot of streamers seem to be reporting) and that was on a 60 pop server. I agree with most of you guys on Tarkov being the better EA, I was never comparing the two games.
